Before becoming a "sales person" I was your typical normal person. I thought of sales people as scary and just the thought of a sales person produced thoughts of people who were out to make me do something that I really did not want to do.
It is amazing to see how far from the truth I was. Yes, there are those pushy people who try to pressure you into making decisions but those are the same people who either you walk away from because you feel like you are being used or you just hang up on them because they seem rude.
Learning how to talk with people through a decision is important. Viewing a sales conversation from their perspective they can not really know me. They do not know that my desire really is to help them. They do not know that it would bother me if I tried to help them buy something that they really did not need or want. Learning how to communicate clearly is such an amazing skill and I wish that I were better at it.
